Accept the primacy of the national vote to leave the EU on 23 June 2016.
We the undersigned call upon HM Government to accept the primacy and finality of the result of the EU Referendum and discount any petition with fewer than 18 million individual UK Citizen petitioners of voting age.
17,410,742 people voted for the UK to LEAVE the EU in the national referendum on 23 June 2016, meaning that 4% more of the electorate voted to leave, than to remain.
72% of the electorate turned out. A higher turnout than the last General Election, and much higher than the turnout in the Referendum of 1975 which confirmed our membership of the EEC.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
