Petition Action

Demand parliament vote on whether to implement article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty

Petition Details

We want MPs to decide whether or not to leave.
Margaret Thatcher was right when she said that the constitutional protections do not exist in the UK to justify the use of a referendum.

Additional Information

Evidence abounds in the media that:
-Voters either did not know what they were voting for or regret their decision
-Constitutionally there is no reason this referendum should lead to the UK leaving the EU

We put it to parliament that the country's future should not be jeopardised by the Prime Minister's vain political calculation that backfired. Parliament alone is sovereign and has the power to make the decision in the name and the best interests of the people it was elected to represent.
