MPs who state beliefs as fact with no supporting evidence must be disciplined.
There is a modern trend in politics for MPs and their representatives to spout fabricated information as if it were fact, which can have a resonant (but groundless) effect on the audience. In order to maintain credibility the government must actively oppose the "post-truth" era.
