The UK Government should agree not to invoke article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty.
Only 37.4% of the electorate voted to leave the EU in the recent referendum. That means 62.6% are not in agreement for article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty to be invoked. The UK Government should not inflict such a drastic change to UK society based on the mandate of 37.4% of voters.
17,410,742 voted leave out of an electorate of 46,501,241. This is not a majority of the voters.
