Make using misinformation in an election/referendum campaign a criminal offence.
Given the repeated use of blantantly erroneous and deliberately misleading figures during the recent EU referendum campaign with the deliberate intention of manipulating the voting public, I suggest such deliberate misinformation be made a criminal offence, lest democracy dies a slow cold death.
