Petition Action

Petitions challenging the democratic outcome are immoral and undemocratic.

Petition Details

We the undersigned request that the initial result of any referendum within the UK stands. Our country is a democracy and we must stand by the majority decision in a vote.

Additional Information

There cannot be a system where the majority has come to a decision that the losing minority can then petition to have a further referendum where there has been no significant change in circumstances.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
