Have a second UK EU in/out referendum allowing people aged 16 and above to vote.

Petition Details

The Scottish Independence referendum allowed people aged 16 and above to vote. This set a precedent that should have been followed by the following UK EU in/out referendum. Therefore the latest referendum should be re-run allowing those aged 16 and above to vote.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The EU referendum has already taken place. It is therefore no longer possible for the franchise (the groups of people who are entitled to vote) to be changed.
