Petition Action

Call on those who voted Remain to respect democracy and the referendum result.

Petition Details

A petition seeks to overturn the result of the lawful and democratic EU referendum. That petition is an affront to democracy. I call upon the official Remain campaign to insist ALL citizens respect the referendum result and work together to achieve the best outcome for the UK as we leave the EU.

Additional Information

A football game would not be re-played if one side won 1-0 in the dying moments. An Olympic race would not be re-run if one sprinter passed the finish line a fraction of a second before another.

Sometimes, one just has to accept that one lost the contest.

We do not live in a true democracy if we do not respect the result of democratic processes.
