Petition Action

Hold another General Election.

Petition Details

I voted for the Rt Hon David Cameron as PM not anyone else within the party. As the referendum failure has seen Mr Cameron resign I feel it is only right and proper we go back to the Nation decide on our future direction and not the party.

Additional Information

Democracy demands that the electorate have a right to decide who governs our Country not the elected party. The failure of this Government to resolve the issues in the EU to the satisfaction of the voting public is a clear reason for a petition to go back to the ballot boxes to decide who takes our Country forward for the future working generations in the UK or what is left of it after this mess.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
