UK Government hold General Election before initiating Article 50 Lisbon Treaty.
David Cameron as PM promised to implement the instructions of the British people on the back of the EU Referendum. However, he has now resigned and the result was very close so the will of the British people to leave the EU should be verified through a General Election.
