Raise the price of e-books to protect authors

Additional Information

Authors profit very little from the sale of printed books, and still less from the sale of e-books, which are considerably cheaper.
There is growing concern in the publishing industry that authors will soon no longer be able to make a living from writing, and that this will lead to a serious decline in the amount of new authors emerging.
This would be a serious loss for our country, a nation famed for its literary output - why should we stand by and allow books to die out, simply because we want them to be cheap?
