Pledges made in political manifestos need to be true and possible to implement
In the EU referendum pledges were made that were not true. After the election these pledges were then retracted and said to not be possible to implement.
Advertising and consumer products have to go through checks before being marketed. political manifestos should have the similar regulations.
Example: the leave EU campaign said they would take 350million that goes to the EU and put it in to the NHS. They now say they can't do this.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This petition has been rejected because it is not clear what action you would like the Government of Parliament to take.
If you want to request that an independent body is established to regulate claims made during elections and referendum campaigns you may want to consider signing this petition on that subject: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/139800
Alternatively you could start a new petition calling for the creation of a criminal offence of making misleading statements during an electoral event.
