Investigate the misinformation used by both campaigns during the EU referendum
We call upon the UK government petition to investigate the misinformation and scare mongering used by BOTH main campaign organisations during the recent referendum, and if found to be appropriate, apply censure.
For example the misinformation about figures paid to the EU were never clearly defined and each side would muddy the waters and contradict any statement claiming to be the true figure made by their opponent.
There is evidence that many people chose not to vote because of the lack of access to reliable information.
