Extend EU referendum vote to those aged 16 -17 before article 50 is initiated.
Citizens of the UK have just voted in a referendum that will affect every one of us. People of this age group were allowed to have a say in the future of Scotland in the Independence referendum,
This is not like a general election where an opportunity will come round again. This is their future.
There are 1.46 million young adults aged 16 to 17 in the UK. (Source Independent 24/6/16)

With the potential for the ramifications to be felt for many years, such a critical decision should merit the involvement of the broadest range of ages possible. Please let young adults have a say in the future of the UK.

The EU referendum has already taken place. It is therefore no longer possible for the franchise (the groups of people who are entitled to vote) to be changed.
