Petition Action

PM D.CAMERON INVOKE ARTICLE 50. Uphold the wishes of the majority of the UK.

Petition Details

The people of the UK voted on either 'Remaining' in the EU, or 'Leaving' the EU on 23/06/16. The majority of over 1.25 million people voted to 'Leave' the EU. If the UK is truly democratic, the winning vote will be upheld and article 50 will be invoked by the PM who called for the referendum.

Additional Information

Prime Minister David Cameron must invoke article 50 and 'Leave' the European Union, proving the United Kingdom is a democratic country.

Results declared on 24/06/16
Remain a member of the European Union
48.1%
16,141,241
Leave the European Union
51.9%
17,410,742

The people of this country entered into the EU referendum by choosing to vote. They therefore accepted that in a democratic country they will have to accept the outcome, whatever it may be.
The vote to 'Leave' the European Union won.
