Make asthma mediations exempt from NHS prescription charges
Asthma is a life threatening condition, that means millions of people rely on medication everyday like others suffering from diseases such as diabetes.
Asthmatics living in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are already exempt from prescription charges.
Asthma affects one in every 11 people and 1 in 5 households. For a quarter of a million people with severe asthma, even climbing the stairs can feel like a marathon.
Every 10 seconds someone is having a potentially life-threatening asthma attack in the UK. Everyday, the lives of 3 families are devastated by the death of a loved one to an asthma attack these deaths can be preventable.
Asthma attacks hospitalise someone every 8 minutes.
