Petition Details

Mr Cameron recently resigned following the Leave vote in the EU referendum. He has been an effective leader for 6 years and half the country supported his position on remaining in the EU.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The resignation of an individual Minister, including the Prime Minister, is not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole. It is a decision for the individual concerned. The UK Government or Parliament cannot stop a Minister resigning.
