Request David Cameron to remain in Office until the next General Election

Petition Details

The U.K. needs stability after the EU Referendum yet we are faced with an unelected Prime Minister. David Cameron won the Election in 2015 with 330 seats. It was the People's Choice. We do not agree that the next Prime Minister will be unelected.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The resignation of an individual Minister, including the Prime Minister, is not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole. It is a decision for the individual concerned. The UK Government or Parliament cannot stop a Minister resigning.
