Enact article 50 to leave the EU immediately, as promised following a leave vote
Before the EU referendum, the government promised a leave vote would trigger article 50 immediately, this has not occurred and instead the process has been sidelined with risk of becoming another undecided issue within the Tory leadership. The public have voted, deliver on the promise.
A referendum result is not legally binding on Parliament. To ensure the action to enact article 50 does not become optional and a method to win votes within the Tory leadership debate, with candidates stating whether or not they will enact article 50, the process must begin now.
This petition was inspired following an article raising interesting questions on the EU result - https://www.reddit.com/r/unitedkingdom/comments/4pu6mj/great_comment_about_boris_johnson_and_the/
