Rgulation of football ticketing prices

Additional Information

Proposal to introduce 100% taxation to the club on excess values of ticket prices for entry to professional football entertainment events where ticket price exceeds a pricing structure.

eg,
Premier League, max £40 per ticket.
Championship, max £30 per ticket
League 1, max £20 per ticket
League 2, max £15 per ticket

A Premier League ticket at £50 would be subject to £10 at 100% tax, with normal tax rates applying to the £40 structured price.

Would serve as an effective cap on prices. If prices were exceeded, consumers can be assured that the excess is being returned to public funding rather than contributing to already inflated wages of players, agents etc.
