Any democratic 'promises' must be in the form of legally binding manifestos.
With the main Brexit 'promises' already in u-turn the democratic contract is in a shambles. Politician's promises are what public decisions are based on. Manifestos need to be in place before due process and legally binding to those who make them and held to proper legal account if they are broken.
