Allow 16 and 17 year olds to vote and add their votes to the EU referendum
Many 16 and 17 year olds have expressed their frustration at not being heard in the EU referendum. Create a vote specifically for 16 and 17-year olds whose voices should be taken into account for the future of the UK, and add these votes to the existing EU referendum votes from 23rd June.
75% of young people voted to stay in the EU, and many have since expressed frustration that over the over 60s, who account for over half the 'leave' voters, have had a say in their own future while their opinion has not been taken into account. 16 and 17 year olds do not have the right to vote in general and local elections - but this is a completely different matter. Give them a voice on this specific issue!
