add units to all special needs schools for children with advanced complex needs
My son Ashton 9 has severe autism severe learning difficulties PDA non verbal at times challenging behaviour.Has been told his special needs school can't cater to his needs the setting isn't right after 6 years that he needs a specialist unit and has to leave BUT there are no units in my region
After been told Ashton has to leave his special needs school after 6 years of been there that the setting is not right And he needs a specialist unit at which I'm appalled can happen to a child after 6 years of routine and relationship building with staff how can this happen ..there's no units the nearest is 2 hours away with a ridicolous waiting list or I can send him to boarding unit miles away mon -fri which is not a option we'd be heartbroken as would he my only option is to home school now
