Petition Action

Members of Parliament should vote on whether to remain in or leave the EU

Petition Details

Voters were deliberately & grossly misled during the EU referendum campaign & therefore the process of democracy was undermined & the result unsafe. There is a requirement to pursue the legal democratic process; a vote by our elected members of parliament.

Additional Information

The British People were deliberately misled by the Leave campaign & associated Media sources on subjects including but not limited to: International Law, Immigration, costs of EU membership & NHS/ Education funding.
The referendum was marginal: Remain 48.1% Leave 51.9%.
As the electorate were grossly mislead, the system of democracy was undermined & therefore the result unsafe.
The referendum was advisory: This means that parliament can legally vote to stay in the EU & MPs have a duty to do so.
