A second vote should be held on leaving the EU, after the exit deal is agreed.
The recent referendum on EU membership presented two choices, one, the status quo, and the second, an unknown future relationship with the EU. Once the exit deal is agreed, two known options can be assessed. At this point voters should be entrusted with the option to confirm their earlier decision.
