Petition Action

Hold a new referendum on the UK's EU membership.

Petition Details

We the undersigned call upon HM Government to hold a new referendum on the UK's EU membership. We make this demand on the basis that the official Leave campaign, during the previous referendum, knowingly misled the public by circulating untruths, causing voters to vote leave under false premises.

Additional Information

Amongst the blatant untruths were statements to the effect that by quitting the EU the UK would have an additional 350 million pounds per week to spend internally. This figure ignores the UK rebate that reduces our weekly EU contribution to 250 million pounds. In addition, it ignores the 4.5 billion pounds some of the poorest areas of the UK receive from the EU.
