Uses UK universities to enhance and modernise the UK economy.

Additional Information

The UK has some of the world's tops universities yet we are slow at applying the knowledge thy have have to the wider economy. For example, 3 of the top 10 engineering/technology universities are from the UK yet do we apply this competitive advantage. Why we do not encourage universities to apply their knowledge to the wider economy by selling technology/patents to UK companies etc rather than foreign companies.
