Parliament ~ Referendum ~ UK
Formal identification required to sign petitions for Parliament to consider.
The Petitions sign on procedure to be changed to that like 'passenger information checks' on aircraft, in so far as formal identification be required for the petition to be accepted. UK Passport, or similar identification that proves the signatory is eligible, and to prevent fraud.
We have seen petitions are being fraudulently signed by people from all over the world on UK petitions, in particular in reference to the request for another referendum.
Anyone signing a petition MUST be legally eligible to do so, and the current system is being abused extensively and illegally. Having a formal system in place would not only prevent fraud, but where fraud does occur would offer the opportunity to take legal action against those concerned and maintain democracy.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
