Introduce a cyclist road tax and insurance system
Cyclists are not currently liable for any of the accidents they often cause on the road, creating increased premiums and levels of claims for car drivers.
My petition calls for cyclists to be taxed and insured to protect law abiding and safe, careful road users against the unfortunate minority who are unable to be brought to justice when they cause an accident.
Having a nominal road tax and adequate insurance would ensure that responsible cyclists would be on the roads.
