Hold another referendum on EU membership if Scotland hold a vote on independence
Should there be a referendum on Scottish independence, the United Kingdom will first hold a second EU referendum, as this is a significant and material change in the circumstances of the United Kingdom not present at the time of the 23rd of June EU referendum
An independent Scotland would significantly change the United Kingdom. The EU referendum was undertaken with understanding the United Kingdom would be whole . The exit from the union by Scotland will potentially change the country's dynamic and its presence in world markets. The British public should be able to revisit EU membership question and the descision to leave the EU
