Petition Action

Nullify the EU referendum result and force a free vote by Parliament.

Petition Details

Campaigners have been shown to make incorrect, incomplete, intimidating or misleading statements or claims in order to influence the outcome of the EU referendum. These would not pass tests applied to advertising or would fail rules applied to voting processes rendering the outcome illegitimate.

Additional Information

Evidence to support this petition has emerged following the outcome of the vote. Information in the public domain indicates that many voters made their decision based on statements or claims made by each of the different parties yet these were either incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, intimidating or undeliverable. Normal rules applied to voting democratic decisions or used in elections have therefore broken.
