Secure residency of EU citizens who are currently legally resident in the UK
There are many EU citizens who currently legally live and work in the UK who are concerned about their future following the EU Referendum. There are also UK citizens currently living & working in other EU countries with similar concerns. Urgent clarification to be made for continued residency.
There are approximately 3.3m European UK residents and 1.3m Britons legally and legitimately living in the EU and these people need to know what the result of the referendum means in practice.
As well as securing UK residency the government needs to work with the EU in order to secure the residency of UK citizens in Europe.
Urgent consideration of continued residency without a visa needs to be given in order to remove the uncertainty and anxiety that these people are likely to be feeling.
