Remain within EU by considering the generational upward trend for support.
The EU Referendum should be used to gauge the feeling of the electorate, taking into account the upward generational trend for support to Remain.
This decision will have greater impact on the young, who clearly want to remain part of the EU and have to live with the consequences of this decision.
Results show that younger people want to embrace all the advantages that EU membership offers and continue to have the freedom to live and work with our friends and communities overseas.
A 3.8% majority is not enough to form the basis of a definitive decision under these circumstances.
How the age groups voted :
18-24 : LEAVE 27% REMAIN 73%
25-34 : LEAVE 38% REMAIN 62%
35-44 : LEAVE 48% REMAIN 52%
45-54 : LEAVE 56% REMAIN 44%
55-64 : LEAVE 57% REMAIN 43%
65+ : LEAVE 60% REMAIN 40%
