Make Government & Politics an optional GCSE subject
Government & Politics is currently not an existing GCSE qualification, with increased voter apathy in particular amongst young people, giving them the tools to engage in the political process, should they wish, from an earlier age than currently exists may increase political participation.
In the EU Referendum (2016) voter turnout amongst 18-24 year olds was 36% (@SkyData), however the turnout for the referendum as a whole was 72% showing voter apathy to be particular prevalent amongst the young.
