2nd Referendum: Any exit agreement negotitions should be put to the electorate
This is a once in a lifetime decision. It is clear that both Remain and Leave campaigns often gave misleading and contradictory information. Before Article 50 is triggered a second referendum should be held. This is not unprecedented: Denmark for Maastricht, Ireland twice for Nice and Lisbon Treaty
The Treasury Committee report: Chairman of the Treasury Select Committee, said: "The arms race of ever more lurid claims and counter-claims made by both the leave and remain sides is not just confusing the public. It is impoverishing political debate...”

In Denmark, 2 referendums were held before the treaty of Maastricht passed. The 1st on 2 June 1992, the 2nd after negotiations on 18 May 1993. In 2001 Irish voters rejected the Treaty of Nice. At a 2nd referendum in 2002, they voted in agreement. In June 2008 Ireland rejected the Lisbon treaty and in favour in October 2009.
