Parliament does not invoke article 50 to leave the EU.
In the Brexit vote, of a population of 65million, only 17,410,742 voted to leave. There are 3 reasons to put the result aside:
1. Constitutional changes should need a 75% majority
2. A detailed exit plan with the EU needs to be available before the vote
3. Both sides lied
1. When any organisation wishes to change something significant such as its constitution, it normally needs a 75% or more majority of eligible voters rather than a simple 51% majority or voters.
2. Any vote should be to leave in principle, based on a detailed plan prepared by the Leave side and Government and stakeholders. It is naïve and foolish to vote on a plan that does not exist.
3. Its clear that both campaigns misled the population: fo the contribution of £350bn a week will not go to the NHS, immigration will not change.
The electorate did not have the information to make an informed decision.
