The EU outcome affects everyone, not just people over the age of 18. And the people who it will have the biggest effect on should have the right to vote to change their future.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The EU referendum has already taken place. It is therefore no longer possible for the franchise (the groups of people who are entitled to vote) to be changed.
