Local Councils To Levy Tax On Empty Shops Every Month

Additional Information

Some shops have been empty in my small town for more than 10 years blighting the High Street.

I would like a law to empower local authorities to tax the owners every month the property is left empty.

If they have no use for the property the local authority could have powers to sell the property at auction with the owner missing out on any payment.
