more protection for the Humber Bridge.
The Humber Bridge needs more barriers on there original barriers to stop and deter people who are thinking of jumping off. I know this may cost a lot of money but it's worth spending money on something as important as this then someone ending their lives.
A young girl who had her whole life ahead of her looses her life after jumping off the Hunber Bridge.
A HEADMISTRESS jumped to her death from almost the same spot on the Humber Bridge
where her pupil had killed himself a year before. something has to be done to protect the lives of people! I know it would cost a lot of money but we are talking of people's life's.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The management and administration of the Humber Bridge are the responsibility of the Humber Bridge Board under the Humber Bridge Act 1959.
The Humber Bridge Board has 6 members: the Leaders of the four Local Authorities and two members from the private sector. You can find out how to contact the Board here:

Given that the leaders of the local authorities are involved, you could also raise this issue with local councillors. You can use this page to find out who the local councillors are and how to contact them:
