Make it an offence for politicians to lie to the electorate
In the recent EU referendum politicians on both campaigns lied, undermining democracy. If pensions or insurance are mis-sold, there will be fines for sellers. If politicians mis-sell, they should be subject to a fine of 10% of gross salary & they should make an apology in their legislative chamber.
This could be policed by bodies such as the parliamentary committee on standards.
