Invalidate EU referendum vote as Leave deceived public with key campaign pledge
A key Leave campaign pledge was that leaving EU would free up £350 million/week to spend on NHS, with claims of “Let’s give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week” and “We send the EU £350 million a week – let’s fund our NHS instead”. The Leave camp admitted this wasn't possible after vote
After the vote, a central Leave figure said on national television that it is not possible to earmark this spending on the NHS as promised. As it is likely that this claim encouraged many people to vote Leave, the referendum result should be considered invalid and a new referendum called.
