Make swimming lessons in Secondary Schools optional
Pupils in Secondary schools are being forced to take part in swimming lessons, being told it 'isn't optional', despite most children being taught how to swim in Primary school. Adolescents should be given the choice whether they want to swim or not, as some are not comfortable doing so.
Older children are being forced to wear swimming costumes and swim in a group with their peers, which can often cause distress, particularly to adolescents having their period who may be forced to wear tampons, or those not comfortable with wearing such clothing in front of others.
