Change e-petitions so that you can sign multiple petitions at once & introduce a ‘sign against;
Wouldn’t it be great if you could mark any number of petitions, add in your details once and sign all of them at the same time? When you get your confirmation e-mail, all signatures would be confirmed with a single action.
It would increase the amount of participation significantly.
I also recommend that e-petitions not only have a signature ‘FOR’, but also ‘AGAINST’. This would allow citizens the ability to vote down a motion, just like they do in the Houses of Parliament. It would take away the need to create a separate petition that directly opposes the first.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
