EU exit must take account of the wishes of the 48% who voted Remain.
The Government must reflect the fact that 48% of voters, 75% of young voters and 62% of Scotts voted Remain by ensuring that, after exit from the EU, the UK immediately becomes a member of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) in order to retain free access to the single market.
The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is the organisation under which Norway & Switzerland etc. have free access to the EU single market without being EU members.
As a member, Norway is subject to roughly 21% of EU laws. Members pay a contribution to the EU; it is estimated that the UK would pay 17% less than it does now. EFTA citizens can live and work in EFTA & EU countries, and vice-versa, but welfare and benefits may vary.
