Petition Action

Ensure individuals can exercise a right to retain their European citizenship

Petition Details

This petition calls upon parliament to negotiate a European association which takes into account 48% of voters who do not wish to leave the European Union. Ensuring individuals have the choice to retain European Citizenship and maintain their right to freely participate in their European community

Additional Information

Human Rights, Article 27 right to freely participate in the cultural life of the community. Article 13 right to liberty of movement within the territory of a state. This petition sites that withdrawal of one`s European citizenship against one`s will is a violation of human rights. This is in light of an undemocratic referendum which presented misinformation and withheld the right of 16 / 17 year old`s to vote on that which cannot realistically take effect until they are of legally voting age
