Tory MP’s who wanted to REMAIN in the EU should not be eligible as new leader
Any Conservative MP who campaigned to remain in the EU (for example Theresa MAY) should not be able to put themself forward for consideration as the new leader of the Conservative Party. This would be hypocritical and undermine support and public confidence in the Consevative Party.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The election of the leader of a political party is a matter for the party concerned, not for Parliament or the Government.
