Allow Parliament a free vote before Article 50 is invoked
Parliamentary sovereignty implies that referenda are not legally binding.
Both Leave and Remain campaigns failed to provide the electorate with the honest, accurate information required to make a considered decision about the future of the UK in the EU.
Representative democracy must now prevail.
The wording on the referendum ballot paper implied (through the use of "should") that voters were being asked to express their opinion on continued EU membership.
The information offered by both sides was often so blatently erroneous that it would have been ruled inadmissible in any court of law. Trusting their political leaders, voters opinions were based on information which they believed to be true.
Voters did not have the information necessary to shoulder the responsability placed on them.
