HM Government to trigger article 50 of the Lisbon treaty immediately.
On the 23rd June 2016 the people of the U.K. voted to leave the EU in a national referendum.
The government must implement the will of the people immediately and trigger article 50 of the Lisbon treaty.
During the referendum campaign the Prime Minister repeatedly gave
a commitment to activate article 50 of the Lisbon treaty straight away if the U.K. voted to leave.
