Do not invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty
Following the EU referendum we do not have to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty and leave the EU. That is a Parlimentary decision that should involve considerable debate. We are not bound at this stage to follow the result to leave
The key reasons for supporting this petition:
1) to leave is not in the nations interest
2) the arguments to leave have not held up to post Brexit scrutiny
3) we are in a position of weakness to negotiate with other EU states once Article 50 is invoked
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
