Integrate economics and politics classes into the National Curriculum
The reaction of many regretful voters on social media to the post-publication by tabloids of the effects of a 'leave' vote following the EU referendum underlines the need for students of all backgrounds to receive an unbiased but informed education on the important subjects of politics and economics
Please don't let voters continue to engage in guesswork or be swayed by hysteria or bad politics when it comes to their voting preferences. Give our future generations the opportunity to learn about the intricacies of politics, what the major political parties stand for through examination of their manifestos. Show them that these manifestos are rarely manifested. Show them that politics is fraught with lies and, more importantly, how to wade through these lies and make an informed choice.
